The CoolKid GuideBook is my Final student Project that was approved by multiple companies such as Ubisoft. This project was The opportunity to test ourselves in the team to see if we could make a more ambitious experience.
It is a turn-based rpg not like the others, where instead of fighting
monsters, you gotta overcome very normal situations like building a bridge for lezards…Normal huh…
You play Morgan (the coolkid), his grandma and best friend
in a solarpunk universe where after the humanity collapsed by the lack of ressources rebuilt with new ideas like self-sufficient cities that function with solar energy for example.
The most ambitious project in school, from putting together the rules of the gameplay, while being inspired from table roleplay game to classic rpg while ading something new, to creating a complex story with a funny tone.
A more mature production that made me more profesional as a narrative designer and a developper.
We had daily meetings to approve decisions and rethink some. That resulted with some meetings with professionals from Bordeaux.
